What you’ll have when you’re done

By the end of this playbook you will have shipped five artefacts.

  1. A studio watch feed that polls 8 to 12 frontier AI studios for releases and writes them into a structured news ledger every few hours.
  2. A daily significance triage routine that classifies releases into headline, worth-a-beat, signal or noise, producing a weekly post-worthy shortlist of three to five items.
  3. A POV drafting prompt that turns each post-worthy release into a LinkedIn-native post in the brand’s voice, with claim references attached.
  4. An optional demo production workflow through ElevenLabs (audio) or Higgsfield and Runway (video) for the one-or-two top posts a month that warrant a demo.
  5. A news ledger logging every published post with 7-day and 30-day engagement, an aging-well note at 90 days, and the quarterly tuning that comes from the patterns the ledger surfaces.

Who this is for

A growth or scale-stage brand whose audience reads LinkedIn for marketing or technology signal, with a marketing lead who can hold a daily 30-minute triage and a copywriter who can hold the brand’s voice across LinkedIn-native form. If the brand’s audience does not overlap with marketing-AI interest, the pipeline runs but the audience-business-outcome conversion is weak. Honest read, this is a brand-positioning play more than a sales-pipeline play.

Before you start

  • LinkedIn company-page admin access plus access to the team’s personal accounts where founders or spokespeople post
  • A feed reader or serverless job that polls RSS, Atom and scraped pages (Zapier, Make, n8n or custom)
  • Claude Opus 4.5 or GPT-5 for drafting, plus Claude Sonnet 4.5 for the triage layer
  • ElevenLabs account with a licensed synthetic voice if audio demos are in scope
  • Higgsfield or Runway account if video demos are in scope
  • Voice profile from the brand-voice-extraction playbook
  • LinkedIn scheduler (Buffer, Hootsuite, native LinkedIn scheduler) with timezone targeting
  • A spreadsheet for the news ledger

If audio or video demos are out of scope, the pipeline still works on text alone. Demos are the upside, not the floor.

The pipeline

Six phases. End-to-end install in a working week, then the pipeline runs daily.

Phase 1, studio watch

Two layers monitor the studios the brand cares about.

Step 1.1, set up the RSS and feed layer.

For each studio with a public release feed, add the feed URL to the feed reader.

The feed reader polls every two-to-four hours and writes new entries into the news ledger CSV with columns for studio, date, headline, link, raw description and initial classification (model release, product launch, feature, paper, deprecation).

Step 1.2, set up the signal layer.

Less-structured sources that often precede formal releases.

  • X or Twitter accounts of named researchers (Andrej Karpathy, Anthropic researchers, OpenAI DevRel, Mistral leadership) followed via a dedicated list, polled hourly
  • arXiv.org for paper releases that precede product launches
  • Hacker News front page (filter for AI-related submissions) for product launches that bypass studio channels

The signal layer writes into the same ledger with a source: signal flag.

You should now have a polling layer that surfaces new releases into a single ledger within a few hours of publication.

Phase 2, significance triage

A 30-minute daily pass classifies the new entries.

Step 2.1, run the triage prompt.

SYSTEM: You classify AI studio releases for a brand's LinkedIn
content programme. You assign each release one of four classifications
and write a one-sentence rationale.

Classifications:
- Headline release. New frontier model, major capability jump, pricing
  change, deprecation of a widely-used model. Post-worthy this week.
- Worth a beat. Feature additions to existing products, meaningful
  eval results, new model variants, API changes affecting marketers'
  workflows. Post-worthy when paired with others or as a digest.
- Industry signal. Fundraising, leadership changes, partnership
  announcements. Mention only if the post-worthy angle is obvious.
- Noise. Minor SDK updates, internal-tool releases, blog posts about
  company culture. Skip.

Rules:
- Default to "noise" if uncertain.
- "needs_human_review": true if the release is in a domain where the
  brand has no prior posts and the classification could go either way.

Step 2.2, the human confirms.

The marketing lead reads the triage output and either confirms the classifications or overrides. The confirmed shortlist becomes the post-worthy queue, typically three-to-five items a week.

You should now have a confirmed weekly shortlist of post-worthy releases.

Phase 3, POV drafting

Each shortlisted release becomes a LinkedIn-native post.

Step 3.1, run the drafting prompt.

SYSTEM: You write LinkedIn posts that explain frontier AI releases to
a marketing audience. You write like someone who has actually used
the model or the feature, not someone who read the release notes. You
pair technical detail with a practical "here is what this means for
marketers in [category]" take.

Rules:
- Line 1 under 75 characters. State what changed in plain English.
  Do not tease.
- Specific number or fact in the first paragraph (the eval result,
  the price change, the context-window increase).
- One concrete "here is what this means for marketers in
  [category]" paragraph. No vague "this could be huge for marketers."
- One honest assessment of the limitation. Frontier model releases
  come with caveats, name them.
- Closing line is a single thought, not a question. Readers know
  how to comment.
- Under 200 words total. Brevity is part of the credibility.
- Do not over-claim. If you have not tested the release, say so.
- No exclamation marks. No em dashes. No semicolons in prose.

Step 3.2, run the claim check.

Every claim in the post traces to a linked source. Claims with no source either get sourced (the team adds the link) or get removed. Posts with unsourced claims do not publish.

Anthropic shipped Claude Opus 4.7 today with a 1M context window and a 38% reduction in hallucination on the long-context eval set.

For marketers, the long-context behaviour is the change that matters. A campaign post-mortem can now fit a year of weekly Meta exports, your brand voice profile and your top performing creatives in one prompt, with the model maintaining grounding across the full window. Last generation, you had to chunk this work or accept that the model would drift.

Caveat. Long-context is the headline, the practical bottleneck for most marketers will be the cost per call, which scales with input tokens. The release is good news, the workflow change is to be deliberate about what you load in.

Pricing held flat against Opus 4.6 at the same token rates.

Step 3.3, identify the demo candidates.

The drafter flags posts where a demo would clarify the capability. Most posts ship text-only. The one-or-two highest-stakes posts a month get a demo.

You should now have drafted posts ready for the demo workflow and the publish gates.

Phase 4, optional demo production

Audio for capability-articulation, video for visual-capability releases.

Step 4.1, audio demos via ElevenLabs.

For posts flagged needs_audio_demo: true, the workflow is.

  1. Take the post body. Strip hashtags. Expand abbreviations to make the spoken version natural.
  2. Open ElevenLabs. Go to Text to speech. Pick the brand’s licensed voice. Set model to eleven_v3 or the current top model. Set stability to 0.5 and similarity to 0.75.
  3. Paste the audio version of the post. Generate.
  4. Download MP3. Attach to the LinkedIn post as native audio if the platform supports it in the brand’s region, otherwise embed in a sound-on video.
  5. Disclose the synthetic voice in the post body. The disclosure becomes part of the brand’s positioning on transparency.

Step 4.2, video demos via Higgsfield or Runway.

For posts about visual-capability releases (a new image model, a video model with a new behaviour), a 5-to-10 second clip clarifies the release.

Open Higgsfield. Choose the generation model. Build a generic environmental or stylistic demo, never named athletes, never the brand’s product with logos. The clip illustrates the capability without claiming the model is doing the brand’s work for it. For releases the brand has not tested yet, link to the studio’s own demo and explain it rather than producing a competing demo.

You should now have audio or video assets attached to the top one-or-two posts of the month.

Phase 5, eval and publish

Each post runs through gates before publish.

Step 5.1, gate the post.

  • Voice rubric, 10 of 12 or higher
  • Claim check, every claim has a source link
  • Audience-specific check, the “what this means for marketers in [category]” paragraph is concrete and category-specific, not generic
  • Honest-limitation check, the post names at least one caveat

Step 5.2, publish at the audience’s slot.

Most B2B marketing audiences read LinkedIn at 07:30 to 08:30 local time on weekdays. The brand’s own analytics overrides defaults. Schedule via the scheduler, do not post manually.

You should now have a published post in the audience’s window.

Phase 6, ledger and refresh

Every published post logs to the news ledger.

Step 6.1, log.

  • Studio, release, release date
  • Post URL, publish date and time
  • 7-day engagement (impressions, reactions, comments, reshares)
  • 30-day engagement (was the take aging well, did the release matter as much as the post claimed)
  • 90-day aging-well note (did the claim hold up, did anything need correcting)

Step 6.2, run the quarterly refresh.

Sample 30 posts. Which studios consistently produce post-worthy releases? Which posts aged well? Which aged poorly? Tighten the watchlist and the drafting prompt against the patterns. Posts where the claim has been overtaken get a follow-up correction post or an explicit “we updated our view” post.

You should now have a tuned watchlist and prompts that reflect the prior quarter’s learning.

Worked example, end-to-end

Manual Focus runs this pipeline against its own LinkedIn presence and shares the operational pipeline with Cascadia Endurance and other clients whose in-house teams want the cadence.

Phase 1 output. Feed reader polls 11 studios plus the signal layer. Around 40 to 80 new entries land in the ledger per week. Average lag from studio publication to ledger entry is under three hours.

Phase 2 output. Daily triage runs at 09:00 BST. Sample week, 47 entries, 4 headline, 9 worth-a-beat, 12 industry signal, 22 noise. The marketing lead confirms in 18 minutes, the shortlist has 4 headline plus 2 worth-a-beat picks the lead promoted because they cluster with a digest planned for Friday.

Phase 3 output. Drafting ran on the four headline picks plus the Friday digest. Sample draft for the Anthropic Claude Opus 4.7 release shown in Phase 3’s Expect Output block. Voice rubric scored 11 of 12. Claim check passed. The post ships at 07:45 BST Tuesday.

Phase 4 output. Audio demo flagged for the Anthropic release because the long-context behaviour is worth a 30 second narrated explainer for the audio-friendly segment of LinkedIn. ElevenLabs generated the audio at the licensed voice. The post ships with the audio attached and a disclosure line. No video demo this week.

Phase 5 output. Gates green. Post published Tuesday 07:45. 7-day metrics, 14,200 impressions, 380 reactions, 41 comments, 17 reshares. Above the Manual Focus baseline of around 6,500 impressions and 180 reactions. The post drove eight new connection requests from senior marketers and two discovery-call bookings.

Phase 6 output. Logged. 30-day aging note recorded that the Opus 4.7 long-context behaviour held up in practice, the caveat about cost per call became the workflow change most readers implemented. The Friday digest covering the smaller releases ran shorter engagement but consistently sat at or above baseline.

A quarter into the pipeline, Manual Focus’s LinkedIn follower count has grown by a meaningful share, and 30-day engagement on the news posts averages a multiple of the prior baseline. The cadence is three news posts plus two category-specific endurance posts a week. The mix protects the brand from becoming “the AI news brand” and losing category positioning.

Try it yourself

Three exercises, each takes 30 to 60 minutes.

Exercise 1, build the feed watchlist for your brand

List the studios your audience cares about. For each, find the RSS or Atom feed URL (or the scrape target if no feed exists). Add to a feed reader. Watch for 48 hours. The exercise teaches you which studios actually publish in the cadence you expect, and which need a scrape rather than a feed.

Exercise 2, run the triage prompt on a real week

Take a week’s worth of ledger entries. Run the Phase 2 prompt. Compare the classifications to what you would have picked. Where the prompt overweights “noise” or underweights “headline,” sharpen the rationale field in the prompt with one-or-two corrected examples.

Exercise 3, draft a post on the most recent headline release

Pick the most recent headline-class release in your watchlist. Run the Phase 3 prompt with your brand’s voice profile and category. Read the draft. Does line 1 state the change in plain English? Does the marketer-implication paragraph name a specific workflow change? Does the post carry one honest caveat? If two of the three fail, the prompt needs more grounding in your audience.

The eval gates

Eval 1, time-to-post. Median publish time within 48 hours of a headline release. Above 72 hours and the brand is no longer the fresh source.

Eval 2, claim accuracy. Every claim in published posts verified against source links. Acceptance is 100%. A single inaccurate claim about a frontier model burns credibility.

Eval 3, POV distinctiveness. Quarterly, sample 10 posts and compare against generic “AI news influencer” posts on the same releases. The brand’s posts read as visibly more category-specific and more honest about limitations.

Eval 4, engagement health. 30-day median engagement sits at or above the brand’s LinkedIn baseline. News posts should perform at or above baseline within the first quarter of running the pipeline.

Eval 5, aging well. 90 days post-publish, claims still hold. Posts where the claim has been overtaken get a follow-up correction or an explicit “we updated our view” post. Trust comes from showing the working.

The failure modes

Hot takes that age badly. The pipeline drafts a confident take on day-of-release that turns out wrong within a week (the model is not as capable as the marketing suggested, the price changes within a month, the feature gets deprecated). Build the aging-well eval into the quarterly review and correct publicly when you got it wrong.

Cheerleading drift. Every post reads as “amazing new release.” Audience numbness sets in. Force at least one named limitation per post. The honest assessment is what makes the brand’s voice trustworthy.

Demo production overhead exceeds the post’s value. The brand spends a day producing a video demo for a release that only warrants a paragraph. Reserve demos for the top one-to-two posts a month, not every release.

Synthetic voice without disclosure. Audio version goes out without acknowledgement. Technical readers catch it. Trust drops. Always disclose. The disclosure becomes part of the brand’s positioning on transparency.

LinkedIn algorithm chasing. Brand starts gaming with hooks and “post a comment to get the link” gimmicks. The senior-marketer audience the brand wants dislikes that style. Stick to clear, substantive posts. The algorithm rewards completion rate and meaningful comments more than hook tricks.

Studio-news monoculture. Brand becomes “the AI news brand” and loses its category positioning. Cap AI-news posts at 30 to 40% of LinkedIn output. The rest is the brand’s actual category work (endurance marketing in Manual Focus’s case).

The pattern in practice

Illustrative scenarios that show common shapes the AI-news pipeline takes. Specifics are illustrative, patterns repeat.

Manual Focus’s own LinkedIn. Running this pipeline against an in-house LinkedIn presence on a weekly cadence settles into three news posts plus two category-specific posts. News posts get higher raw engagement because of audience overlap with marketing-AI interest. Category posts convert higher to discovery calls because they are more specifically targeted to the audience the brand actually serves.

B2B SaaS, scale-stage, the LinkedIn-from-passive lift. A brand passive on LinkedIn. Launching with weekly news posts in their adjacent space (developer tools, fintech, design tooling), drafted in the brand’s voice with the founder’s POV on each release, typically multiplies follower count over six months and lifts inbound demo requests sourced from LinkedIn substantially.

Endurance media partner, the wrong-audience failure. A common pattern is when a brand’s LinkedIn audience is largely sport-focused, not marketing-AI focused. The pipeline drives engagement on the posts but does not convert to business outcomes (subscriber acquisition for endurance content). The honest read is that this pipeline fits brands whose audience overlaps with marketing-AI interest. For audiences that do not, the playbook needs a different content engine.

The news pipeline feeds:

  • lifecycle-journey-builder, best-of-month news posts feed a monthly newsletter section
